It was a busy Thursday for the Red Sox, as they acquired Franklin Morales from Colorado for a player to be named, and they also signed RHP Kevin Millwood to a minor league deal. However, they might not be done.
A report on www.prorumors.com says that the Sox have interest in the pitcher, who was designated for assignment this week.
Galarraga is most famous for his near perfect game last season, although his 2011 campaign has been a disaster. He has a 3-4 record with a 5.91 ERA, and has given up an NL high 13 homers. Sounds like a recipe for disaster in Fenway.
With Dice-K, Wheeler Lackey, and Jenks on the shelf, it looks like the Sox are exhausting all options.
